Best way to clean perches

I recently got my amazon a cotton fabric rope perch. I want to sanitize it before I put it in his cage. What would be the method of doing this?

I run mine through the dishwasher with bleach and rinse twice and air dry for a few days.

I run all of my rope perches and boings through the dishwasher as well after I knock off any poop on them..... seems to do the trick.

For those of us without a dishwasher, how would you clean them? I just take a cloth sprayed w/poop off & wipe it down. How else should I be doing this??

Do you have a pressure washer? They work wonders. Even a garden hose with a adjustable spray nozzle for a fast stream works well.

yeah, don't just soak it and rinse it to let it dry ..... ruined one of my perches (oh, ah - valo's perches). it just stank afterwards and it took 3 more bleach soaks with 6 runs through my friends dishwasher before i decided it's good enough for short term use (summary: i bought a new one)
