Fence your yard, clip their wings! lol

OH MY GOSH. Ok I really hate talking about people but man... I just had to tell you guys!

I put the Parakeets on Craigslist, because I've found birds on CL and I found sooo many nice families who want them. Well one of the replies was really interesting... to say the least.

He called me and spoke about his family, his life, how much he loves animals and has always wanted a bird. I invited him over to meet the birds and asked if he had a cage. He said "oh the bird will live outside" and I said, "do you have an aviary? Any other birds?" He tells me that he was going to clip the wings and let the bird live outside cause he has a tall fence!!! LMAO

So I told him that it wasnt possible, and he said that he's an expert and he knows that birds love grass. So I said "what will you feed him?" and he said "he'll eat the worms in the ground of course! You should know, you own the damn things." So basically I said "heck no!!!!" and hung up on him. Then he called back saying sorry and if it's possible to give him my feathers so he could sell them to people. He asked if it was ok to just give him a bird so I could see how happy they would be with grass. After I hung up that time he never called back.

Some people, sheesh!

We had 5 of our own. We were given 10 and we're keeping 3 from that, so now we have 8 and well 8 Parakeets, 2 Cockatiels, 1 Parrotlet, and 1 Orange Wing Amazon are already enough to handle, not to mention 7 siblings that have a possiblity to mate with eachother. Soooo we're trying to find good homes for them.

Some people are too much! His ignorance was too funny! Wonder how he would like us to put him outside to eat the grass and any worms that he can find?
