Hi,
THanks for "most" of the messages. I really appreciate all the input. I am SOOO glad for the recommendation about the towel at the bottom of the cage. Fred fell in the middle of the night, the night before last and what a thump even with the towel, it scared the heck out of me. Good news is, is that he's perking up a bit, has gained some weight back and seems to be eating a bit. He doesn't like any of the baby food that I've tried with him. I have pedialyte in his water bowl instead of water, but I've got to tell you that I tasted it yesterday and unflavored still tastes lousy, but if it helps him that's good. Guys sorry I didn't give you an update sooner, but I now have the flu. Totally sick. Thank God though that it waited to hit until I got Fred on the way to recovery. Anyway, I appreciate all the help and prayers. Thanks, AMy |

We keep a ceramic heater on our cages all winter. It is off to one side so they can choose when they want to be under it. Our U2 has a heated perch that loves. We also keep our bird room around 78, and thats when they are healthy.
I hope you and Fred are feeling better soon!
