Travel Cage for Large Birds

I ordered this travel cage (for in-case Hurricane-evacuation needs and also, for long trips), and it's AWESOME! It's nice because it completely folds down, so it's easy to pack up and doesn't take up much room, PLUS it gives Oscar a VERY NICE size cage that he can live in for weeks or months if need be with out feeling, even a little bit, cramped!
If you have large birds, and especially if you live in FL or the other hurricane zones, check it out...

would you be able to get that in a car's back seat (of a two door car) with the bird already in it?

i am worried because when my husband and I (or my mom) takes bindy to the cabin, we have to get her in the car with a cat carrier. then she closes the doors to the car and transfers her to a bigger travel cage. This is becuase the bigger cage can't be placed in the car with bindy already in it because its too large.

i guess I'll measure the space and compare it to the cage measurements.

I have a winapego (I think that is what it is called). It is made out of hard plastic so the birds can see what is going on. All of my birds love it, and it fits in the seat perfectly.

It most definately won't fit in the car already put up....I still have to use the little pet carrier for transport, it's just nice to be able to give him adequate space and play area when we arrive at our destination. :D

Skye travels in a cat/puppy carry case that I put a perch in for her. She loves it and whistles and talks almost non stop (much to the dismay of the kids as she gets pretty loud). We bought a med/large dog crate which assembles and disassembles within minutes and it gives her somewhere safe she can flap around when she cannot be on someones shoulder or on her playpen once at our destination.
