A story of Terror!

Hello All,

I present to you, a story of terror... alright maybe a story of
moderate fright? Ok ok a story
of rather mild trepidation....

It was a dark and stormy night! ... alright so it wasn't really dark
more like mid afternoon and maybe it wasn't quite storming .. it could
be that it was actually quite sunny out with temp's in the mid 70's but
what kind of story starts out as "It was a rather pleasant and sunny
afternoon, with a chance of possible clouds later on in the evening"? it
just isn't done.

Anyway: It was a dark and stormy night (just use your imaginations
people, geesh.)

All was well in the St.Claire household, the feathered ones had been
fed and were enjoying a quiet evening watching their favourite animal
planet tv shows. The cats were curled up on their bed and after some
pretty intense grooming had finally dubbed themselves perfect (like their
is any other state for a cat to be in) and were alseep. The dog was
curled up in her kennel dreaming dreams of a life where giant birds
didn't constantly try and chew on her ears. The ferrets were being ferrety,
the rabbits were being rabbity ... well you get the idea.

Everything was calm, all except for one! One sneaky member of the
household disguised as a fluffy package of cute with adorable beady eyes
and a stubby little tail. It was of course the hamster! Due to good
behavior on her part (Surely a ploy!) she had been let out of her cell of
solid glass and was allowed to roam the house in a smaller prison made
of pink plastic (known to the general public as a hamster exercise
ball.)

Now Mom was doing what all good mothers do, She was in the kitchen
putting together a salad for the bunnies and baking endless loaves of
bird bread to be frozen for the gluttons
to feast upon at a later date. Suddenly without warning came a
horrified squawk that could
only speak of one thing DoooOooom!

She ran from the kitchen and into the birds bedroom (yes they have
their own complete with a tv, radio and herb garden.) only to find that
the Hamster had pulled another Ninja caper! she'd used that pink plastic
prison and rolled right under the unsuspecting African grey who had
been out for her evening constitutional and the terrified bird suddenly
found herself stuck on the rolling ball of terror and being propelled
across the floor at dizzying speeds (ok maybe they weren't quite
dizzying, it's possible that they were only somewhat brisk)

Thankfully Mom was there to rescue the bird, sweeping her to the
safety of her play tree! the Hamster was taken into the courts and had
another six months added onto her sentence. For now she has been reinstated
into her glass prison and is currently plotting to start up some
trouble with the new guys - the ones whose noses seem to be motorized.

Here ends another tale of the Hamster, known only as "Ninja"

Some people on here are great story writers......personaly I suk. Seriously like all of you should make one giant post of even a book of all your bird storys. I just love to sit here for ages and read posts like "Do your birds talk in context" and "Have you ever connected with a bird you didn't get"

Good work!
