how do i find out information

good morning, im in need of local bird people from my area in oregon that have been around along time,to help me with information on a local bird rescue....the rescues name is KC exotic bird rescue foundation......
i would like to know peoples opinion on this rescue.
why i ask, is out of the blue i get a phone call from them, they wanted to meet my husband and i.....
we went and met them and i have so many mix feelings that i need to know from others if they have ever dealt with them and how they feel about them.
they want us to join there group and i dont know them well enough to join...
