John, you beat me to it...

First of all - good for you (and the bird) that you actually think about it deeply. Impressive to me - I too, am not a tryer... I like to finish what I start. So, if you have a strategy that you think will work, together with the time for it and whatever else comes with it, go for it. But maybe you also want to think about how you'd handle it in case it wouldn't work.

Good luck, but it doesn't look good. I'd walk away if I were you. MALE, BREEDER, PLUCKER-PICKER M2. Not good.

If you think you can help him then good for you but I don't think it would be particularly wise to invest yourself...

That is an honest opinion. I hope you aren't offended. Why would you post this if you didn't want honest opinions, right?

I really wish you the best of luck but this doesn't look too good.

Check out the forum mytoos.com

I personally dislike the forum for many reasons, but that is irrelevant. You are considering rehabbing/adopting and adult breeder male M2 and that is exactly what that forum is about. Go post on that site and I'm sure they would love to help you.

I'm not trying to steer you away from this great forum. Just leading you to a more specific forum and hopefully you will get lots of help there.

I did post because YES I do want honest opinions. I'm not offended one bit. I know what a too can do, even when they are 100% pets, I have the scars to prove it. Yes there is a lot to consider. Thank you.
