i bought the harrison's power treat and my bh caique just loves it. one thing that you might have to do with smaller fids is crush it up alittle as they are chuncks of about 1/2" by1/2". i give sassy,bh caique, 3-4 chunks a day. and cuddles, my meyers, 1 day. and put it in with their food. btw, they are on the hard side of food,so that is why i crush them for our.

Thank you, I will try your suggestions. I appreciate it.

I use RPO that I got from my vet with instructions to mix a specific # of tbs per pound of pellets (I feed Harrisons) and refrigerate. I make up 5 lbs at a time and my grey loves it. The two macaws are getting better at eating it, but it has taken them a little while to decide they would eat it.

Annuder fan of RPO

Mine like it too.....I don't have the oily issue some do...I don't know if it's the kind I buy...or how I give it. Some I put in baby food in spoon feedings and some I give in a dropper. They seem to prefer it in the baby food though. Their colors have improved since I've been giving the RPO....especially the red factor. I guess it would help to say I have African Greys....one Timneh..with a lot of red factor...and one Congo with red factor. So pretty to see those reds come out all shiney.
I don't know if it will make any difference in your sweeties beak or not....but sure will make a difference in the health of the feathering!....Good luck...say...let us know what happens..okay?
