Nicknames. Is it just me?

Is it just me or does everyone have nicknames for their birds? Newton has so many....Newt newt, fruitloop, Bubba, Peapot, Newton James and the one I use most of the time... Noodle Butt. LOL

Well, mine do have nicknames, but are often called by somebody elses' name as well (sometimes pets I had twenty years ago). As long as I say it sweetly or with food in my hand, they don't seem to mind.

I do it for my real kids too! Jakob my 3 yr old son gets called McLovin! His reaction is "im not mclovin!! im jakob!" it's so cute.

My sun conure was named Sunny at his previous home.. we named him Scotty. I call him "the yellow vampire". The 2nd day we had him, he was hanging from the top of his cage, then came down, ran up my arm, and bit my neck!!

I also call him cheeseball, as in "come're ya cheeseball". He's such a sweetie.

The Nandays are yet to be named.. they were Bart and Sissy at their last home. I call the plucked one Chicken Little, and the other one Big Mama.

I always like to wait a few days before naming pets... gotta see what works best and goes with their personality.

I'm terrible with nicknames --- All of my animals and the animals of my friends are saddled with countless nicknames! Beans is also frequently referred to as Bins, Binny, Beanelle, Beanlet, Beanjamin, Poppet, Binny Beans, Beanerskates (so lame), Sweet Beans, Bean Bag, Beanie, Beanie Baby, Beanie Sweet, Dastardly Bad Baby Bird...It goes on and on. The poor bird is probably so confused.

Pumpkin is pie, muffin, sweety, featherbutt, mamma(hoping he'll say it one day). I wonder if they get confused. Also, baby, as in, "Where'd the baby go?" when we play hide and go seek.

Carmela is Mellie and Tony ist Tonybaby.
Both of them together are beaky babies or beakie boo. Then there are the German nicknames....... Schnabelmausis, Schnablinskis etc. Isn't it bad how we go crazy over them! Love them to death!
