Thanks for the other links Monica! Can other animals, such as dogs, cause this problem as well as African Greys and Cockatoos?

Oh good, because I have 4 dogs, and would really hate to think I was causing Harley problems...

Macaws are sensitive to dust. B&Gs especially. Any dust source needs to be controlled. Air filters are needed. I prefer Orecks, others HEPA. I also run an exhaust fan.

This does not prove that illness or disease is passed through bird dander. Allergies with macaws from too dust yes, but not disease.
For those who state this as a possibility I was just asking for documented proof just in case someone had info I was not aware of.

Thanks for posting that Mike. For other owners, like myself, another tip is to bath your dusty birds often, and soak them. This is a must in my household.

Alice, I'm not sure of any articles WITH documented proof... but then again I wouldn't be surprised that it IS possible, as previously stated by another member.
