is your flock complete?

do you have all of the birds that you want? or do you plan to get more in the future? Why are you finished or still adding?

My flock isn't complete yet but we are full at the moment. My house is not very big and there just isn't anymore room for another cage, playstand, etc. My back room--the "guest" bedroom HA HA HA"--contains 2 huge cages, a treadmill that I can't use because it scares the birds, and a fish tank. You can't possibly fit anything else in there.

When we move into a larger house *someday*, I would eventually like to get a Scarlet macaw and an African Grey. Of course this will also be when I can afford to have a cleaning lady come once a week to clean the rest of the house because all of my days will be spent cleaning up after birds and cats!

I am not done yet, but will wait to get into a larger home first. Of course the first thing I am going to do is get a cleaning person also. I too will have my days filled with cleaning up after the birds and hopefully cats that I will have by that time.

Full, and satisifed for now... At a later date, when I can actually afford more, and after I feel like I have spoiled my birds till I couldn't spoil them anymore... then I may consider another bird... but then again, things happen!

Who knows? *smiles*

I feel "done", but then, if I can ever get a sister of Deb's Pico (Scarlet macaw male), we've already reserved her. Just gotta wait for 1) eggs to be laid and hatched whenever it's breeding time again, and 2) DNA testing to make sure that there is actually a girl available.... So, IF that happens, I suspect it will be awhile. Right now, I'm still waiting for Mikey to grow up and come home to Mama :-). His cage gets ordered on Monday, and will be waiting here for him when he's ready.

My flock is complete. I have 5 birds and thats more than I can handle at the moment. I have different species so I can enjoy them differently. I couldn't ask for anything more. Well, I could, but it just wouldn't be fair to the rest of the family. I'm more than satisfied with my curent flock.

No, I am not done, despite the 'rules' set in our house. My dream bird, a female SI ekkie named Nyla I am saving for (we have expressed we want the bird, and she is on 'layaway' at the store). The other bird I want very much is an african grey, which is probably coming home very soon (YAY). Then, my flock will be complete- I think. Despite the fact that there is a maximum pet limit in our house (2 birds max) I doubt that rule, LOL!!!

I don't know if I am done... I want to say, yes I am done... but, there is a part of me that sorta doubts that. I suppose if I was "called" by a RFM or another Ruby, I would consider it.
