Cecil, my new workout buddy....I guess

I moved the yellow nape I'm babysitting, Cecil, into my exercise room recently. It's in an eye-shot of the rest of the house, so he is in contact with us most of the time, but has his own "domain".
So, now, when I go in there to exercise, I can't tell if he's enjoying it or just frustrated. I KNOW the owners haven't exercised in some years, ;). He appears to like the treadmill rhythm, noise.
He talks A LOT! Loud, even shifts his weight side to side on his perch like he's dancing. sings Mary had a little lamb, Cecil's a gooooood boy, helllo (in the tone of Mrs. Doubtfire, LOL) and just a bunch of mumbo jumbo.
But......he flares his beautiful tailfeathers and appears to strut around. Neck feathers fluff out as he sings, squats and spreads his wings and talks a lot.
He still blows me kisses and stuff all the while, and appears to be happy; no squaking, or fluttering around the cage.
He tilts his head back and up and blurps kind of when I count reps on the weight bench.
Is all this normal and good???
As I've said before, my only bird-exposure has been with the tiels who just run around like little head injuries and don't appear to take the time to bother interacting much other than head scratching...well at least that's all Dood does.
Thanks!
Mark

sounds like he is having fun!

do you take Cecil out of his cage while you workout? sounds like he wants to join you and get more interaction during your workout.

a workout buddy, indeed. :-)

I'd say he's enjoying it... don't parrots love drama :)

I do the same thing with Ollie. I have a treadmill in his room and we do our exercises together almost everyday.
I put him on his Atom and he flaps, climbs, swings upside down, talks up a storm - generally gets very excited!
