It depends on the length and width.Personally I would put a tree type play-stand on the end away from the door and have a few hanging boings or swings.I would also have a safety door installed because my birds are not clipped. The screen would also need to be reinforced if you do not plan to be outside with them to supervise.

Is this just for daily outdoor visits or are you planning to keep them full time in the aviary?

Here is my 2 cents... I looked at alot of aviaries when mine was outside about 8 years ago and I found a couple areas that were key issues. 1 is if you have a bird in a aviary and your going in to change food, water, clean and when you have that door open for split second to get your body in there you will probably have a lil open area a bird could fly through. If the birds are spooked into a flight / panic they can fit through almost a baseball sized area not covered... It happened to me about 3-4 times over 8 years with 10 or so tiels. If you can get a safety door, its worth it. If its not in the budget just know you have to be very careful.

I was lucky to only lose 1 tiel of 10 over some 8-12 yers of having them buddies..

As far as perching I did alot of horizontal perches, and also tied varios perches together and havea think rop perch, vertical ropes dangling from others and other do dads to keep them busy. Then again I built my own aviary. One of these days i will run across the old 3.5" disk and post them...
