Bird needs a name

I'm a long time reader of BirdBoard, but never post. I need help naming this bird.
Wild-caught CAG, left for dead in a *finch cage*...previous diet was all black oil sunflower seeds (based on the bag left in the house, and residue in his cage)
He had ONE perch, macaw sized. He had chewed/broken most of the bars on the back of his cage trying to escape. I purchased him(her) and his housemate, a TAG living in a parakeet cage, in September. The TAG went to live w/ someone else, but ended up back here. She has a name, but this poor bird has remained nameless. I was told he was male, but in the last few days I've finally been able to look at his tail. He has obvious silver tipping on his tail...So he is probably a female. We also took in a baby CAG recently, that was begging, and no-name, for the first time since being here, flew off her cage & tried to feed the baby CAG...

The bird is not handleable - yet. She is HUGE - I have not been able to weigh her, but she is larger than any of our other greys. I put our YNA next to her last night, and she appears larger than Pacino, who weighs almost 500 grams. She is a very dignified, majestic bird. She needs a strong, noble name. We actually called her Schmedley when we got her, and have tried Rocky, Calypso, Bullwinkle, Bullrock (she's stubborn!) Wingnut..countless names. None of them stuck. That was before I realized she is most likely female.

The name Grace, or any version of Grace, is out - that is my MIL's name, and since I am now her primary caretaker (as of Dec 16) I don't want a bird named after her....I spend enough time dealing w/ Gracie the person, I don't need to deal w/ that at home too :)

Any ideas? What does she look like to you??

Thanks...

Wendy

Good grieve, what some people do to birds! Drives me nuts!

Bless you for taking them both!

What is the other ones name, is there something that would go with it, ie. Bonnie & Clyde etc LOL!

How about anything along the lines of Lucky, Hope, Miracle, etc, brain went dead LOL!

The timneh is Niko, but since we already had a Niko here I tried renaming her Pixie. Didn't work :) She's said her name 2 times, in a tiny little voice "hello Niko", so now she is Niko the Pixie...
I was told No-name's name. It started w/ a sch sound, but as soon as we got in the car, Dh & I could not remember what the heck it was, and we didnt' want to chase down the drug addict to ask again :(

Oooh I like Hope. Or Faith. Actually I like Sprite too. Pixie, Sprite, they go together. I like the "human" names too though also. What would you name a new baby girl? Lauren? Emily? Names are hard for me too. I always think that this poor creature is going to be stuck with whatever name I give him/her and that's a big responsiblity!! I'd just go through all the baby name sites if I were you. Good luck and keep us posted!

Well...I named the new baby CAG w/the broken leg Bella, site unseen. I should have named her Trouble! If you were asking about a human baby.."someone else's" is the name I'd give! LOL

I like the name Hope. I'll give it a try on her tomorrow.
