First, a word of advice: Always save an original version of the image as it is -do any work on a renamed copy of the image.

To "fix" a sideways pic:
Using your photo editing software, look for an "Orientation" or "Rotate" control.
For the images in question, you need to rotate them 90 degrees clockwise.

All those pics you posted are full size images (2576 W x 1932 H). Birdboard spoils us by allowing members to post some pretty big .JPG pics (10000Wx10000H). Most other sites limit the size of pics to make it easier for people not on high speed internet to view the pages; 640 Wide x 480 High or 1024 Wide x 768 High are the most common pic size limits.

One other point:
Simply changing the orientation can cause the pic to become larger than some sites will accept because it changes the dimensions. A 1024x768 reorientated would become a 768x1024 image. So if a site limits pic size to 1024x768, that reorientated pic would need to be resized to maximum height of 768.

I took the opportunity to change those 2 pics for ya - reorientated and scaled down to 576 W x 768 H

Buteo,
Thanks for the info, I'm technologically stupid (never even put a picture on a computer before). Could you tell me how to scale them down? I have more to post.
Thanks again.

There should be a heading or some option to resize pictures/images in whichever Photo editing software you use.

I don't know what Operating system you are using - but if it's WinXP, go to the Microsoft Windows XP website.
One of the "Power Toys" set is a handy mini application that adds a "Resize pictures" option to the popup menu when you right click on pic.
It has 4 settings in Basic mode: Small- 640x480, Medium- 800x600, Large- 1024x768 and Handheld- 240X320.
Using any of those setting creates a resized duplication of the original image.

On the bottom is a button labled "Advanced>>".
Clicking on it reveals 3 more options:
"Custom" for a user defined sizing.
A Checkbox for "Make pics smaller but not larger".
and a Checkbox for "Resize original pictures (don't make copies)."

You can find the resizer app on this page:

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP

** The downloads are on a list on the right side of that page. I'm not sure if this link will work, but you might be able to get it by clicking below.

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe

I hope that helps.
