Bungee toys for birds(New Idea?)

I know I know I should keep this to myself. I can really make a lot of money on this idea. I haven't seen it out there yet but what would you guys think about bungee cords stretched across the cage with toys tide into the bungee?
As a matter of fact my grey just loves it. Its a flat bungee and thought to myself hmmmm I wonder how Smokey would like it? Well, it turns out to be the best thing I could of ever done for her. She hangs upside down on it and bounces off of it. She pluck the toys off of it too. It moves so it never gets boring for her.
Now common sense tells me this is not for a parrot that doesn't feel secure about unstable grip. This to me is a great muscle builder for your bird.
Oh yeah anyone that wants to use my idea and make millions off of it I wouldn't mind having a small percentage. Smiles.

I want to add another thing too here-I've had this same bungee cord in her cage for about 5 months now and its still holding strong and not falling apart.

Sounds like a really interesting idea, would love to see a pic! Only potential problem I can think of is that if the bungee were under tension, and broke or one end came loose, it could perhaps cause injury, or at least be pretty traumatic for the fid. That aside, I can see where both Quito and Tausi would probably enjoy something like this!

I know my macaw would love it! The only problem I would see is chewing, If the bird chewed on it and then played and it snapped, that would not be pretty! However, I would love to see a pic and see how you made it!

The chewing would be the only thing I would be concerned about. What kind of material are bungees made out of? Are the ends metal or a type of plastic?

chewing

Well, the funny thing is Smokey does chew on it. It seems to last and last.
NO, tightness here. I have it pretty loose just incase it did snap. It is one of those flat bungees. I don't know how the round one would hold up. ;Smokey is a grey so again this is a new idea I'm throwing out there. I don't know how Macaws would treat it. Maybe someone would like to try it and let me know if they destroy it.

What a gorgeous grey you have!

Neat idea too, I think it could be perfected (if it were to be marketed anyway) to help insure that it wouldn't snap or come loose but if youre bird enjoys it, then congrats to you and your creativity!

I guess just watch it for wear and tear so it doesn't snap - I might have to try something along those lines when my guy gets a little older and more surefooted.
