Well, at least in my bird's mind LOL! My male eclectus "Mojo" is crazy in love with me. He's had a rough year with liver disease and now has recently gone blind. After all he has been through with me--the endless meds, trips to the vet, the beak trims, blood tests etc. etc., you'd think he'd hate me! But no, he loves me all the more. He calls out to me and I answer back and hurry to get him. He avoids being placed on a perch, boing or playgym. He only wants to sit with me. I set him in my lap and talk to him, but all he wants to do is feed me. He is a good provider. :eusa_sick I need to keep a kleenex box close by, cuz I'm sooo lucky. I also need to watch him very carefully because every so often he gets very excited and runs about scratching his feet like a chicken making a little nest spot for us! Since he is blind, if I don't watch him "like a hawk" :aiwebs_01 he runs right off my lap!!

Just how old is he? Sounds like a very special guy.

He just turned five in August. So young to have so many problems. :(
I've only had him since July of '03. His last owner loved him very much and asked me to take him.

Awww, the love of a bird. It really compares to none other, does it?
I am so glad that sweet Mojo has such a loving parront. That is outstanding. May both of your lives be rich and full, you deserve it!

My male ekkie's name is Mojo too ! How sad about your baby's health issues, but he clearly adores you. You're very lucky. He gets around ok ? And finds food and so forth ? I'd like to know how he adjusts.

Thanks guys! It's great to be able to share the little things with "bird-people". :aiwebs_01 My birds are all so special to me, but Mojo has been going thru some big changes lately and wow! he is just so amazing. Him losing his eyesight and the adjustments he's made and also the adjustments I've made for him....well, it's an incredible ride. I am in awe of how well he has adapted.
