During the week I feel very guilty if there is something that gets in the way of our schedule, and I'm really reluctant to throw anything in like going out to dinner

I go to Yoga Tuesday evenings after work and my husband gets the birds out while I am there and when I get home I still get to spend time with them. Today I went to Yoga and it was announced that there would be an evening Wed. class and they all asked me if I would go - I took one look at the instructor and told her it's hard for me to be away for more than one evening per week (she knows this - and I commute a long way). She smiled and said, "You have to be home for those birds, don't you " I said You Bet!

Cute stories! I am very over protective of my fid as well! Even with my boyfriend interacting with her. However, I am getting better about that

I guess I have it too. Last nite, we were leaving a church function late. It went over very late till 9:30. We had expected to be back by 8:00. The kids were home.
I commented as we got in the truck, "Gosh, Cecil should have been in bed an HOUR ago."
She whipped back, "what about the kids??"

OMG I used to leave answering machine messages when I lived with my mom so the dog would hear me and not be so lonely!

I can't do that now because at our own apartment we only have cell phones and I can't have someone hold the phone up to my baby because he is at work as well!!!

the reason i only surf the BB monday-friday is because my weekends and holidays (yesterday) belong to my birds. it takes a couple of hours to catch up my BB reading the first of the week. thats why i sometimes answer question asked of me late sometimes.

valo is out with me all morning - i even get up an hour earlier so he gets his mommy time in... i miss him as soon as i'm at the office, and whenever i have monotone lab work to do i think about him.
i used to fence a lot... nowadays i only fence if i can make it home 2hrs before i have to leave. otherwise fencing is cancelled. i love to go out with my friends, but whenever valo didn't have enough time out of the cage i cancel plans. since i'm in grad school, i have to cut back on spare time activities to spend time with my little darling.

also, on a funny note - when BF and i dropped off the birds for boarding before going to austria, i couldn't imagine spending that much time without valo. but being together without the birds forced us to get used to each other again... (long distance, and whenever one sees the other it's all about the other's bird - does that make sense?)
i talk to bella on the phone every evening and valo gets his time on the phone with BF... if i'd tell all that stuff, most of my friends would think i'm nuts

You all remember...I have been gone from home on and off for the past two months. Talk about missing Fids! Will be in Ohio for another 2-3 weeks.
Miss my grandkids, miss my Fids, miss my kids, miss my husband.
