How much do you miss your fid(s)?!

5 minutes after I leave Jasmine I start thinking about her. 10 minutes after I start missing her When I think about her while I'm away my tummy gets butterflies and I just can't wait to get back to get and kiss her all over and smell her!!! If I'm out with my boyfriend or friends I'll start talking about her a bunch and saying how much I love her or miss her a little bit. I just love my girl!!

Now tell me, how do you miss your babies??

poor boyfriend..................... but then I guess Kelly can relate!!! I think about them all the time. What do I want to make next, how to rearrange a cage... shame on me but it is a conscience effort to say hello to my wife BEFORE the fids when I walk in the house!

Everything I do first makes me say to myself "ok, how does this affect the fids and their schedule." One Friday night I was leaving work and my husband called and said that friends of ours wanted to go to dinner and bowling. My immediate thoughts were of getting in their quality time and dinner. I told my husband that we would only go after the birds had their time because we would be home late and it would be past their bedtime - he knows I hate to keep them up past bedtime!

I think about them ALL the time. When I'm gone I can't wait to get home to be with them, it's the highlight of my day every day. I talk about them all the time and people usually get sick of it

I love my little doggie and fiddy so much! I stay at home with them, it is nice. I do go out and then I miss them. I even hate covering up Chipper each night! I feel like I am unwrapping a gift every morning!!!

On a similar note, I always greet the fids before my husband in the morning!

I have all their pics on the cubicle wall at work, I don't know how I would get through a day of customers whining about their accounts if I could look at their sweet little faces!

LOL!!! Same here with my boyfriend, Jim!! Once he even said how it hurt his feelings that I would come home and fuss over and kiss Jasmine. He would just sit there looking pitiful!! I have to watch myself now. It's hard, though!!

svolk: I do that too! If someone wants to do something in the morning, I make sure it's late enough so I can make Jazzy breakfast, have a bit of quality time with her because I work all week, and give her time enough to eat her fresh foods so it won't sit in the dish all day! In the evenings I make it late enough so I can cover Jazzy before we go because I don't want to keep her up past her bedtime either!!

Sally: I feel like I'm unwrapping a gift every morning as well! I get so eager to get her up and love on her!!!

Tiki: Same here about the pics on the cubicle. I often have rough times at my job (assistant at a law firm ) and looking at Jazzy's face just uplifts my heart!!

I do the same exact thing! I felt so bad because Friday night Evan and I went shopping and out to dinner. I felt so guilty about them having to spend more time in their cages.

when I go away, my Poo stays with my boyfriend's family (they have birds too, and she loves chirping with them! Yes, everyone is vetted.). I usually don't get in til late, and so spend the night birdless, going to get her the next day. I gotta tell you, the apartment just isn't the same w/o my feathered roomie! I actually get lonely, and really miss my Poo.

I have more pictures of Zoe in my cubical then I do of any other family member....LOL...and to make sure I get my daily dose of her while I am away at work I have a file of pictures of her on the computer at work that is set as a slideshow to use as my screen saver . Its set to start after only 2 minutes of inactivity ....so I get to see her alot. I also call home twice a day and speak to her on the phone until she bites her Daddy because she cant find me .

I think my husband gets a little sick of how overprotective I am of them, and how I'm always adjusting our schedule around them But that's just the way it is

When I get home every evening I usually yell "hi!" to my husband but go straight to the birds to see them The cats and dog greet me at the door so I usually scoop up a cat on my way to the bird room.

During the week I feel very guilty if there is something that gets in the way of our schedule, and I'm really reluctant to throw anything in like going out to dinner

I go to Yoga Tuesday evenings after work and my husband gets the birds out while I am there and when I get home I still get to spend time with them. Today I went to Yoga and it was announced that there would be an evening Wed. class and they all asked me if I would go - I took one look at the instructor and told her it's hard for me to be away for more than one evening per week (she knows this - and I commute a long way). She smiled and said, "You have to be home for those birds, don't you " I said You Bet!
