Birdie bread - how long to keep in cage?

I just made my first batch of birdie bread tonight using cornmeal, orange juice, grated carrot, chopped broccoli, peas, egg, applesauce, and pellets. It smells so good I'm tempted to taste it, pellets and all! The birds certainly seemed to like it. :)

My question is how long should I keep the birdie bread in their cages. I remove fresh foods after a couple of hours, but does birdie bread count as a fresh food, or can I leave it in there all day?

Thanks!

because of the fruit and veggie and egg content you need to treat bird bread the same as fresh foods and cooked. 2 hours at most would be the longest to leave it IMO.

Just so there is no confusion, BIRDIEBREAD™Cones and Muffins can be left in the cage for 1-2 days-but they don't usually last that long!
