my birdies.....holding them

hey guys on quick question...i have three parakeets and i have had them a few years. i did quite a bit of holding with them when i first got them but i dont know quite what happened and i stopped. so now they dont ever want me to touch them. i want them to be confertable with me but now im afraid they i might give them a little heart attack by holding them a lot. is it to late to make them confertable with me and allow me to hold them????let me know

Just start at the beginning again... going near the cage and talking softly to them until they are comfortable... then putting ur hand in till theyr ok with that... then doing steps ups till theyv got that right again... then slowly taking them out... it may take a few months for you to gain their trust again, but bird people are pretty patient!!!
