And thanks for the ebay links. That second cage is so cheap! I'd rather have a flat top, but for that price, I could give that up. The third one, I have seen that a couple of places. It does look like a really nice cage, but without feeder doors, I fear having to chase Paulie around the house on a daily basis, lol.

OOOH, I think I found one I like!

http://cgi.ebay.com/Parrot-Bird-Cage...QQcmdZViewItem

It has feeder doors, it is big, it is not expensive, and it has a drawbridge style door!! I love that feature, and it is so rare!!

That's a nice cage but the cups seem really deep. So even though Parrotlets eat alot he'd have to be almost vertical to forage in his cup. You may waste alot of food having to fill it up really high for him to reach it. Then throw it out if it's picked through or if he soils the cup by mistake.

I dont mind throwing food away for them but it looks uncomfortable to me having to reach down in the deep dishes. Otherwise I like it.

The play top concerns me a bit, the more places for accidents the more risk but it's still nice.

I have the plain old flight cage from Bird Paradise that was in the third eBay link (different mfr I think) . Feeder cups arent an issue for us, they are out all the time and like their cage anyway. They wait to see what I'm putting in there and THEN decide if they feel like coming out the open door or not lol.

If you care about the inside height you may want to message the seller, I didnt see it listed? Only the overall 63' which includes the stand.

I really recommend the flight if you have room and if he's safe from falling in it - if he's clipped it could be dangerous. I just put my re-growing male in it after waiting 3 months for him and his wings to get organized. I have a bunch of ropes and stuff on the flat top and a play area next to it on a table. With ropes down from the cage to the play area and boing. I think it's essential for them to get away from their cages during the day.

I'm sure any one you pick, he'll enjoy ALOT.

Well, again, I really want one with feeder doors. The cage he came in, that is just a travel cage, has only the one door. He was in there one day while I cleaned his cage, and when I stuck my hand in to put food in there, he got out. Since he is flighted, it took us 1/2 an hour to catch him. I do plan on getting his wings clipped soon, since I would like to let him out, but every time he has, it has been a disaster (Do you recall the fiasco when he was on top of the light in my two story foyer?). But I still would only like him to get out when it is convenient for me, since he is afraid of me. If I were putting food in his cage right before I left for school, for example, if he accidentily got out, I could not afford to spend a 1/2 hour trying to get him back in. If he was tame and came on command, it would be a whole different story.

Now that I wrote a book, lol. I see your point Cindy about the bowls, but is it possible to just replace those bowls? This is another one I am considering.

I have a coupon, so the price would end up being $140. It is better than the first one I posted because it is wider.

I would get a wider cage with a flater top. This is Chipper's cage and she uses all of it! It is nice and wide. Room for lots of fun toys and swings like her big ole shaggy swing!!! I have toys all the way to the bottom for her and she loves them all. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ageoutside.jpg

My younger brother lives in Philly -- he LOVES the city. And just think: if you move to Philly, you'll be even closer to Bird Paradise!
