Cage for my parrotlet
I know this topic has been discussed before (and even by me). I was considering a double cage, but I think I've changed my mind. We are moving to an apartment, so I thought that a double stacked cage would be good for space, but now I don't think we are even taking the keets with us (they are gonna go to my ILs until we get a house).
So I am now on the market for a new cage for my p'let. The one he is in now is soooo small, he really needs a new one. I am not getting it until I get some money for my birthday in March, because with selling our house, we have no dimes to spare right now. I am looking for the largest cage possible for under $200, including shipping. I want one with feeder doors, since without them, Paulie flies out when I open the door. I would prefer metal bowls, but that's not a priority. I also want it to be longer rather than taller, and I want a flat top, since the keet cage I have isn't flat, and hanging toys is a huge pain because they all slide to the sides of the cage. I saw this one, but I think it is too big, but it seems like such a great deal. It doesn't have bar spacing info though. http://www.bird.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=502903+WHT

Yeah, I have always loved Kings cages. I like that they have a drawbridge style door. But unfortunately, they are out of my budget. The one that is much smaller than I want is $230, which is the absolute max I want to pay. I would rather get a bigger cage that's not a Kings for that price. Maybe one day when I am not a student who is trying to sell a house.

There are certainly some very expensive cages... but then again I like flight cages for the very reason that some of them are good sizes and cheap... where-in a regular cage of the same size would be $300 if not more.... flight cages are $100-$250 in most cases... not normally much more

The description of the cage in your link doesn't appear to list bar spacing, which is a big concern -- too big and your p-let will be flying outside of the cage in the blink of an eye!
Did you check out www.mybirdstore.com? They offer free shipping... -e-

Of course I've checked them out, I buy my food from them, and I've also been to the store. I also have a coupon for their store. I am just trying to compare all my options before I make a decision, so I am looking for other websites to compare with.
Thanks!

Oh, thanks for the link to the bird show, that's great! It's not very near me, but probably as close as one would ever be to me out here in the sticks. Next year after I move to Philly, it will be very near me!
