How Schroeder eats his veggies (Do the veggie mash!)

So I was noticing that while Schroeder would manipulate and chew on his veggies (especially brocolli and baby carrots) he wouldn't eat much and would have much more fun shreading and throwing the chunks on the floor or the nearest person.

His vet gave me a list of veggies he should be eating, but I had no idea how to incorporate things like kale or chard into his diet.

So, since he'd eat oatmeal and mashed sweet potatoes, I made two variations of veggies that he really likes. I'm sure many of you do something similar and that these are anything but novel ideas, but it works for us and any friends I attempt to explain this too thinks I"m crazy, so I wanted to post

Picture 1 is our shredded veggie medley. Using a food processor (bought just for this, in fact!) I shredded carrots, broccoli, cucumber, 3 kinds of peppers, kale, chard, spinnich, zuchinni and apple slices.

Picture 2 is the veggie mash (yes, I HAVE to sing the song everytime I make or serve this) with boiled/mashed sweet potato, yams, brocolli, carrots, and (on occasion) soaked primate biscuits.

Picture 3 is a messy beak of approval

Just a note: All of the veggies/fruit that I buy come from an organic / whole foods market around the corner from me and the extra concoctions are frozen in ice cube trays and freezer bags to use the rest of the week.

imagine that............ only thin I ever use my food processor for is, yep, veggie mash!!! Looks good tho!
