I just love them so much!
I have to post this. I came home early from work today...sick. It seems the side effects of radiation have yet to disappear. (6 months later) I missed a day last week after a dinner choice had me up ALL NIGHT LONG. ANywho, came home early and laid down. Neither dog so much as whimpered for 2 hours while I slept.
I went upstairs to clean the birds cages and Gypsy attacked my shirt rather than me. She even gave me some snuggles...which is NOT like her! WHen I brought them down for "out time" Harvey sat on my shoulder and just rubbed his head against my cheek making little kissy sounds.... Even when I feel like crap, I just love them so much!

That is so sweet! My dad and I were talking this morning how Harley had gotten off of her perch and climbed on the table. There, she tried to 'wrap' herself up in a place mat. It was so funny! It has made me realize, if I don't own another bird for as long as I live, I will always have Harley, and wouldn't trade her for anything on this earth. It really makes you appreciate them more when these little ordinary miracles occure during the unhappy times.

Thanks all, feeling MUCH better compared to yesterday! From what I'm being told these little "relapses" are typical. (sigh--yet another piece of info my doc left out!) A few days on bland foods should fix me up, if not I'm calling the doc.
The fids were just SO good last night. I actually thought of not getting the birds out because Harvey can be nippy at times and Gypsy has her fits...and I just wanted to rest. Now I'm thankful I changed my mind and got them out. Gave me that "warm fuzzy feelin". LOL
