awwrr..yeah i gave her a few as treats to warm her up to me a bit. she got crumbs all over me hehe.

i introduced her to my tiel...and its funny cuz everyone was saying to watch that she doesnt go after the cockatiel...its actually the other way around. hollywood doesnt like her, she tries to preen him. i have some odd birds...

Cheerios are good....shredded wheat is better. Birds love it and can make an ENORMOUS mess.... tee hee

Yes..seriously.

We were told by our AV only 2 little Cherrios per week for Sydney because of the zinc.

I gave him a couple yesterday, and while I was getting them, I checked the Special K & Spoon Sized Shreddies boxes..zinc too.

As for why they even put zinc in them, I have no idea.

Zinc is a good thing, but the amount that is good for you and me can be a bit too much for our little friends. It is required for hundreds of reactions in the body, but deficiency (in healthy adults) is fairly rare in the US. Here is the govt info sheet -- http://dietary-supplements.info.nih....s/cc/zinc.html
