Sophie or Zoey get to go with me quite often. Zoey isn't much into the car but she sure loves to get out with me. Sophie will jump at any chance to go on an adventure. They are clipped and as of yet I have not been able to get either of them in a harness.

i take my birds with us to lowes or home depot when we go. they love the car rides, and they love getting out of the house just as much as we do, lol. they like to look at other people, an the occasional dogs that also get taken to the stores, but they dont like strangers touching them. sometimes kids have run up and tried to touch them....i dont care whos kids they are, i grab their hands and push them away, and tell them NO, unless they wanna get their fingers bitten off, LMAO. of course i dont do it roughly or harshly to hurt the kid, ive never had a parent get mad at me, lol, in fact, they were always happy that i was able to stop their kids from touching our birds and getting bitten. sometimes adults wanna touch the birds, but i tell them that the birds hate strangers and bite hard, LOL, and i go on to say that the smaller birds can make them bleed pretty good, and the bigger ones can easily break human bones if they bite, that always stops them right in their tracks, LMAO. then they just look and "oooh" and "ahhh", and we are happy with that :)

when we take the macaws, they have a harness if they are flighted, but if they are clipped, i dont use a harness. wth little birds, i would either take them in a little carrier or put a harness on them, they can easily fly away with a slight breeze, but a huge chunky macaw couldnt unless it was really windy. its not windy here that much at all, so it works out for us :)

Awww, I wish I could get Tuc to wear his harness! I have taken him with me to pick up my son from school and for a walk once but he decided to make a break for it. Luckily he is clipped and didn't get too far. Needless to say he hasn't been too many places since then though I will tuck him inside my sweatshirt when going to the vet, you should have seen the girls behind the desk when I walked in and had a little birdy head sticking out of the frond on my jacket! I have tried to get him in the harness and he freaks out! The one time I actually got it on him he just kept throwing himself around trying to get it off and I felt so guilty!

I take Maxie when I can. She wears a harness and she also has a carrier. Don't tell, but sometimes I wrap her up in a baby blanket and sneak her in if I won't be long. If anyone wants to see the "baby" I tell them she is asleep.

Here is me and Maxie on my motorcycle. She loves to ride!

We do in the summer, but it hasnt been above 30 in several weeks here.

hey Glenda, i had no clue you were a motor girl. i've been a biker, of sorts, my whole life. i dont currently have a scooter, but if i did, you can be sure my birdies would be on it. tiki rides on my bicycle handle bars, in my yard only. thats a cool carrier. did you make that?

I've taken my fids out with me to several places. I stopped doing the bird store after that most recent outbreak but other than that, I am all game. Now, the weather has not been really good here, so we have not gone anywhere together for a while. Actually, yesterday we had 27 tornadoes touch down here locally. Not, even I would go out in that. During the summer, I am always outside with my fids.
