Question Moon Phases

Does anyone ever notice their birds, and other animals, acting differently when the moon changes?

I find my eating & acting differently especially on the full moon. But the other phases also effect them. Like today Gillian is just not herself. She is overly aggressive & extra extra chatty. Then with my gliders one of them came out of their nesting box in the middle of the day to go pee which is very odd :icon_smil Then he stood there for a while looked around and then when back into the nesting box and went to sleep. They never do this unless it is a moon phase change.

So I was just wondering anyone else notices changes in their pets during the different moon phases.

Here is a calendar I found on line. It is a very basic one. I have never used an on line one so if you have a better one please post. I just usually look at the one one my paper calendar.

Absolutely! Our Macaws, dog and finches go nuts around the Full Moon. Specifically our little Hahn's is SO darn NIPPY around the full moon - OUCH!

You are not alone Candice....it happens to us :-)

Lightbulb Might be a monthly thing

It's not just for women, after all... Men have mood swings that vary over the month (there have been studies showing as much), so I'm guessing all animals do.

Can't say I'm sure whether or not they depend on the moon, or their own bio-rhythms, or a mixture of the two, but I'm not surprised to hear that it's not just humans.
