Further to that re rehoming. Two of my dogs are pound puppies. One was given up because he was too much to handle the other is because he kept jumping the fence and wouldnt get on with other dogs. He was rehomed twice! Im glad. Not glad because they had to spend time in dog jail and had to go through that stress, but glad because that gave me the opportunity to find them and make them part of my family. They are so loved, I am so loved, they are very happy, get walked everyday, 24 hour access into the house and couches, sleep with me, come on holiday with me, all get on so well together and little jackie has never jumped the fence in the 6 years Ive owned him and gets on so well with the other two. They looks at me full of love and I cant get enough of them. So rehoming isnt always a bad thing. One door shuts and another one opens. I think they are the happiest they ever could be. And I say to them Im glad those other people didnt like you because I just love you to pieces!

They came to me with plenty of issues. Merlin couldnt keep still, would pace up and down the house it was painful. Jack was terrified of everyone that came over and would run under the house and not come out til they left, he was scared of every noise, ie just walking past the golf course was traumatic enough for him, the woosh from a golf swing would send him running, so Im guessing he was hit in a previous home. But now with a bit of love and security those people wouldnt recognise them. They are confident, happy, and well behaved dogs, a little boistrous at times but i think thats a good thing.
