good thing you don't live up here Nancy, I could see us at a yard sale or the local Rescue Workers flipping quarters to see who go to get the baby toys! what is it about those toys that flash lights and make noise that so sends 'Caws into playtime frenzy?

another big thing here for the guys are those bottle lids that pull up. they love to sit there with them in their beaks, they look like birdie pacifiers.

we save all sorts of things and run them thru the dishwasher. I saved some of the mesh bags you get fruits in to put small stuff into when I run them thru the dishwasher. saves chasing parts.

Hate to be a party pooper, but be careful about raisins. Many are dried with sulphur. If they are truly naturally sun dried, that's better. However, they are very high in sugar and iron. Both of those things need to be kept to a minimum. However, the boxes are fun (LOL).

I'm trying the coconut thing tonight. I bought a small coconut, and some sisal twine. I also picked up some raw hide chips (for dogs) from the dollar store. I figure it could make a really cute toy, not to mention CHEAP. I paid $3.00 for everything. Coconut, rope and raw hide chews.

Now, I have no clue on what im going to use to crack the coconut, but I plan on trying to get it in halves,to make a treat hider thing. Should I take out the coconut meat? Or is this OK? Will it go bad?

You can take out the coconut meat and store it in the fridge and feed it to the fids :)

One thign I do is make oragami ballons, and put one or two bits of papaya in it. Then give it the the fids. I gave one to HIggins and he chewed it, held it up- looked through the hole, shook it, chewed a bit more- peered at it again to make sure the treat was still there....
