Question Bird and TV
A friend who has two birds once told me that birds can't see the TV images. That it is a different wavelength from what they can see. I think he's wrong, as every time Bindy sees a bird on TV flying she freaks out.

Parrot Island, a parrot shop near where I live, says their birds love watching disney movies. Do any of your birds like or dislike watching TV? Is there a special "all bird" video that could help entertain when I'm at work (besides all her toys :)

My birds love to watch TV. I have heard that flat screens are better. My M2 likes the Bird Sitter video and cartoons.

My sun loves to watch cartoons, she will stand there twist her head back and forth and let out little chuckles as she is watching it.

it is more entertaining to watch her than it is the tv.

I have the bird sitting dvd and they all love to watch it. My tiels like either cartoons or the animal planet.

hahaha beautiful sunconure? you got to kidding me, she has got an attitude like all hell.

But in all seriousness, she is beautiful and she is a great bird and i have a lot of fun with her. She is a year old now, still has a bit of plumage to come yet but she is getting there.

Humphrey definitely likes to watch tv. He sits on the back of my chair and turns his body around to watch. However, one thing that seems to upset or excite him is bird noises. And there are a lot of bird noises on t.v. Pretty much any outdoor scene will have birds in the background. Humph will squawk and then fly around the room when he hears another bird.

I leave on either cartoon or the Animal Planet while I'm at work. I didn't realise how much Gypsy was paying attention to it until she started mimicking Blues Clues. LOL
