Glossy Black Cockatoo

I know a few of you love our Aussie toos so i'm posting some pics of the Glossy Black Cockatoo we a have a few round here. Sorry the pics aren't that good but the were hiding in the folige.

I got the priviledge to see one up close and personal at Discovery Cove/Seaworld in Orlando last weekend. Beautiful birds. very endangered . Discovery Cove has a breeding pair they're hoping will mate.

wow..must be so neat to look out your back door and see birds like that! i was curious, i watched the show "parrots of oz" and was wondering, with all those cockatoos around do lots of people keep them as pets?

Thanks guys....it's great to have Lorikeets, Gang Gangs, Galahs, Glossy's, Sulphurs............theres too many to name.........out in our bush block.

These are different to red tails, we don't get red tails here but we do get yellow tails.

Aww i wish we got blacks here. We get sulphurs galahs and lorikeets and rosellas but no gang gangs either :( My mum gets red tailed blacks, emu's, sea gulls pelicans and king parrots around her house.
