Steam Cleaning Revisited

Ok, so just a bit ago I stumbled upon the ULTRA Euro Shark II at Odd lots for 45 bucks. I adopted it and brought the little guy home. I'm impressed. I cleaned a well neglected floor grate in about five minutes or so with ZERO elbow grease. I used the wee little brush on the tip and then anything that didnt come off I blasted with the hot shower head and it rinsed right off. A Far cry from the scrubbing and rinsing and scrubbing with just the shower head and a brush. I even proceeded to clean the tub walls after I unplugged it to refill. I was not impressed with the high pitched blasting sound it made and will do earplugs for the next two grates. I also had to turn on the vent fan for all the steam. BUT, Im seriously happy with the results for indoor winter cleaning. I will be able to clean the grates easier next time as this is to easy and they were neglected because it was so much scrubbing and cleaner and did I mention scrubbing? The brush on the nozzel was nice and it required no effort at all. I was happily surprised did I mention I hate scrubbing poo?? Well I'm off to clean two more grates now..........

Update. Well, I am happy. It ran out after I started the third grate and you cannot refill till it cools a bit but the fact that I had blasted the third grate and let it sit 15 minutes or more (Had to go get a beerski) when I started again it came off even easier. I learned that it works better WITHOUT the stinkin brush and its a little less noisey without it too. I still wore earplugs cause that bathroom is so small. Then I cleaned the floor and toilet too,LOL. I can see this thing getting used.....ALLOT! Mind you now it goes a LOOOng time before refill. These grates were pretty hard as I keep cleanin the cages and leavin the grates for "later",lol. Not any more. If I toss one in now it prolly wont take but a few minutes each week to clean. The hardest to get off was poo and food and "other" stuff blasted right off. Best part was it was as little work as painting with a small brush. I just sat on the edge of the tub and "painted" off the dirt.

I have the "steam blaster" and love it. It's safe, no chemicals around the babies, and really works well . I do everything with mine...birds cage, floors, windows, bathrooms, etc.

Oh ya, steam cleaning is the only way to go for sure. Poop Off and other chemicals for cleaning typically do a good job, but they are expensive. Steam cleaning does a great job. I have a cheap "Shark" steam cleaner I got from Walmart and it runs for about 20 minutes straight between refills. Best 29.99 I ever spent....

well today I did the kitchen. AND the floor, never thought cleaning could be fun. I also did the outsides of the living room cages - in the living room - with the birds sitting on top AND Charlie the most skittish grey stayed put and watched. I would just steam and wipe. No mess, stuff wipes right off. OMG, THE FLOOR has never been easier. Took me like five minutes with the steam brush floor head and then I dried it with towels on my feet. WAY cleaner than any mop.
