What do you pay for boarding/caretaking?

Just curious what people pay to have their birds watched when they are out of town.
Thanks!

I have someone come to the house, take care of the cats, birds, plants, mail, etc -- $20/day to clean, feed, amuse and whatever.... (a bit less when I am gone for just a day or two and recruit a friends' kids)

Our AV has boarding starting at $13.75 and going to $20.75 per day. Then there's optional services on top of that. All birds must have medical certificate.

The fids are in a secure room,,with access to employees only. If you want to see your fid, you have to watch one of the 6 security screens showing the boarding residents.

Last time we left town for a week, my brother-in-law birdie sat for us.

the place I got Sophie from charges $5.00 a day per bird to board. The pet sitters I have used when I went on vacation were free. They did it for the honor of being near my birds............... ok, they were friends.

If I boarded any of my birds anywhere, then it was at a parrot store... and it was only once or twice. It was $5 per day per cage, last I recall. I thought it was a fair price, however I was argued that it was too much (but I much preferred them to stay their rather than be taken care of someone else who I knew wouldn't do a good job... however, I couldn't board all of my birds there, so it was just two).

i board valo and bella at our vet, and it's $11/night for valo and $14/night for bella (valo's considered a small bird, bella is medium - true for size, not for attitude )

We pay $20/day total at Refuge for Saving the Wildlife - $11 for Cory & $9 for Zen. When we have the pet sitter come to the house it's $15/day for about a 20 minute visit so it's worth the extra $5 to take them where they are talked to daily, played with and get to talk to all the other birdies!

Our AV charges a different price for how it is done.
$8 a day for personal small cage
$10 a day for person medium cage
$15 a day for personal large cage
$10 a day if you use the AV small cage
$15 a day if you use the AV medium cage
$20 a day if you use the AV large cage
Now if you use your personal cage the amount of birds in the cage matter to the space that you are using. If you have finches and you bring in a medium cage with say 12 birds in the cage it's still $10 a day even if there was one one bird in the cage.
Our AV has different rooms for the different size birds so that if for some strange chance say a Quaker get out of it's cage it's not going to be attacked by a Macaw.
Now this was when we only had a few birds. Now that we're breed there is no way that we would be able to board our birds with our AV so it cost us $50-$75 a day for someone to come in and feed all our birds. This includes the hand feeding of the chicks. So this is not something that we can leave to family or friends it requires that we have another bird person come in
