New Bh and weekend trip planned what to do?

Hi all,

I am picking up my bh in about 3 weeks. My wife has planned a weekend get away about 2 weeks after the bird has arrived. My wife has asked me if it would be O.K to have the bird taken care of by a friend for the weekend.

What do you recommend? I stay home, show someone how to take care of the bird, or take the bird back to the breeder to take care of it.

Since the trip is planned so soon after the arrival, talk to the breeder and see about keeping him another couple weeks. He already knows the place, no transition problems, and you come back refreshed and ready for the excitement!

I fully agree with Copper. I know you are anxious to bring your baby home, but the extra couple of weeks at the breeder is a small sacrifice for the many years you have together. I feel it would be too disruptive to your baby. Ditto Copper's sentiments fully.
