Decided on a lovebird

well after all the info that everyone was giving me and talking to the breeder and my manager at the pet shop we decided to get my little cousin a lovebird. at the moment he's perched on rj's should snuggling against him and chirping away like crazy. i think we made a good choice

rj loves the bird and picked it out himself. of course i set up the cage and put in the paper and food and water ....but im pretty sure it's worth it. he's happy and now i'm half tempted to get one for myself buuut i think my grandmother would kill me considering Mater (as my cousin named him) is still more or less mine. i take care of it, it stays in my room...but it's 'his' haha. so thats three now that i have.

haha but it's for a 4 yr old. he's actually really great with him and the bird seems to have really taken to rj. i just think that my little cousin needs to understand that the bird cant play all day ecspecially sicne we just got it today. he gets a bit upset, but u can tell "mater" is just exhausted
