Do you talk to your birds as if--->>

Do you talk to your birds as if they can understand you, or do you talk "around" them?

I talk to them as if they can understand me, I tell them where I'm going and when I'll be home. If I need them to be patient with me I often tell them "after today I'll be home for two days straight just for you!!"

I think they understand some of what i say---sometimes I think they can read my mind, lol

I definitely talk to them as if they understand everything I say. I even say thank you to them when they do what I ask or give me a kiss.

I talk to all our animals like I do our human kids. They definitely understand some things, plus I think it's more stimulating for them.

Bella amazes people with just how intentive she is to listen. My godmother was over today and I let Bella up on her stand to let her enjoy new people. She's very good when it comes to new people in the house and I intend to keep it that way. My godmother also has a slight fear of birds but enjoyed talking to her. Bella even laughed at a joke about the permit I had for her when I brought her home from Jersey to PA...'Bella are you going to get a lisence to drive a car? Bella, 'Hahaha!'' She shows off her mechianical skills too for everyone. :)

But I like to talk to Bella just about things. I'll get her to laugh from time-to-time too...She laughed when I told her that KFC in New York should be called NFR....New York Fried Rat...:)
