Avatars, anyone?

Hey...

I know I only joined recently, but one of the things I've noticed (other than how nice it is to be around other dedicated pet owners with strong interests in getting along with their pets) is the lack of variety with animated avatars...

Anyone want a personalised one?

I make them in my spare time now and then, and much as the one on mine isn't very good; that's one I put together in, say, 20 minutes, and used because it was the only bird-gif of mine I had... I think I'll make a Zebra finch one for myself later...

Thought I'd just check and find out how many people were interested. If you are, feel free to say so and say what type of bird you'd want animated, along with any preferences on pose, and whether or not you want your name with it, and I'll get around to it.

[NOTE: I know the wolf and sheep one's badly done, but that was when I'd recently found a funny game with wolves chasing sheep, and stuffed the little animation together in memory of it.]

HT I would like a female eclectus one with her name "Skye" on it, and maybe with a galah with "Bo" on it. Or just the ekkie. Can you do moving ones? Like maybe flapping wings? Do you need photo's (I have plenty). Thanks heaps in advance.

Vankarhi, I had a go at starting yours (to see if I could get the shapes right), and it's okay so far (basic birds without shading, perching on your name twice in blue)... Any favourite colour? And flapping wings should be fine (though in the past I've had trouble animating wings properly, I'll give it a shot). Either of your birds particularly loud?

the galah (rose breasted cockatoo) screams very loudly when she is annoyed, like when the dogs walk through the house, or when she is upset. Skye is not really much of a screamer. By favouite colour, do you mean colour of the birds? That is Skye in my avatar. I did have both but changed it recently. Bo is a galah (pink body, light pink top of head and grey wings.) Other wise I will leave colour up to you, but I do like bright colours. Thanks again

Hi I'd love one of a cockatiel or senegal. How does it work? Is it something I download? I'm really computer illiterate' and have no idea how it works. Joan
