Offered more birds---

Do you get offered birds? I sure do! I think in the last couple months I very well could've added five birds to my flock.

The latest decision (jury still out) is about two tiels.

Give me strength!

Where do you live? I have only 3........2 parrotlets & one Tiel and I'd love to add to my flock, but the more I read the more determined I am to adopt instead of buy another baby. These guys ALL deserve a loving home.

ya, my neighbor saw me bring home tiki, my sun, 2 weeks ago, and the next day he gave me 2 love birds. another neighbor, yesterday, try to give me 2 budgies (not tame, biters). i just dont have the room. i have 18 zebras (last count) , 2 love birds, and a sun in a small apartment. if they were tame i might have taken them, but i dont have the time to work with them, tiki, my sun gets jealous when i play with the love birds. i work full time and i really dont have the time, i would really like to spend with the birds i already have, before bed time, its only 4 hours between 3 and sundown, this time of year. maybe when i retire, i will take on more, but for now my flock is complete. im trying to find another home for those budgies, cause i dont want them staying where they are not really wanted.

Yep, I get offered birds, which is why I have so many rehomed birds... the last two, I was actually begged to take... Don't know what would have happened if I didn't... but in short, have decided to be a foster home for some birds, which means I can't have too many birds in order to be able to foster others too.

Sure do, good news is that I actually found homes for four of my baby budgies. I am pretty easy with taking on more small birds (budgies, finches, canaries), but cautious with tiels or ring necks and know I don't have time for the bigger guys. I would love to save the world...... (would be just as bad with dogs and cats if I had the time and room)

Thankfully, no. I don't know how I could turn down a bird in need... or any animal for that matter.

Due to my living situation I have to take noise into consideration (as do many of you) so again, I'm glad I haven't been placed in a situation where I'd have to take in another bird, even temporarily.
