Haven't heard a damn thing. I'm sure it was conviently ignored. If I could afford it, I would go buy it, and give it to a Zoo or sanctuary or something.

Wow. I see that this thread is quite old, but given my own recent quests to Petco it frustrates me. I was informed today that Petco is a franchise (sorry, but I didn't know that) and thus the store managers, district and regional managers have much more authority that they may claim.

It's very sad how many people report the same disgust with Petco and how they would save so many birds if they could. It makes me dreadfully ask myself, how many birds have suffered greatly or died as a result of this one chain of franchises?

It is good that people are talking about this though. I will continue my quests and I will keep all informed.

My mum used to have a crimson rosella called Petey. Apparently he was a good bird. They're very wild birds by nature, there are heaps around here. I wouldn't see them as good pets. Petco sounds terrible :/ Oh and the Golden Mantle Rosella Parakeet is simply called an Eastern Rosella here in Australia. Probably cause they're from Eastern Australia :D
