Smile Goffin confused?

I have a 10 month old Goffin Cockatoo. I am a lil confused/concerned. I have had her for 3 weeks now and I have noticed that her chest feathers are getting more pinkish in color and this morning when she took a bath, which she loves to do, I noticed that her pinkish coloring on her chest was actually bleeding off of her. It wasn't blood, it was like the base of her feathers are dyed pink, but of course I know they are not. It wasn't alot, but I am confused. Is this normal? and is this normal for a Goffin to have a well tinted pinkish color on their chests? She has the peach color on the sides of her nose and the base of the feathers on her neck have the same pinkish color on them too. I am hoping it's because she is just that much more happy/healthy now, than when I got her. I posted a picture of her a couple weeks ago when I first got her, it is posted by JOLLYROGR5 and her name is Rosie.

Thanks

Does she have a mineral perch or block in her cage? We get "red heads" around here from things like that.

She has a calcium perch that is suppose to be strawberry bannana flavored that I got from petsmart. She also has a mineral block, that is like a rust colored. I noticed after I posted this message, that when she "bled" the pinkish coloring, the tops of her legs are a lil pinkish in color too. What is a "red head"?

Goffins are suppose to be a peach color at the base of their feathers, especally around their neck, head, face. As they get older, the peach color spred a little more but their are primarily white in color with just a hint of the peach at the feather base. They also have a hint of yellow on their comb and on the underside of their tails.

LOL Well it all makes sense then. I had a bearded dragon that would do the same thing. If I put blue sand in her cage, she would turn blue lol I just didn't realize that it could do it to birds too :) Thanks for your quick replies. I feel better now WHEW Just glad to know nothing is wrong. Thanks again :)

Too's are also powder down birds, so the color might be in that and that's how it's "coming off".

My bf tried to tell me that his friend had pink cockatiels. He was fully convinced they were PINK. I told him there was no such thing and I wanted him to show me. Turned out the cockatiels were covered in pink from a mineral block they had.

it was like the base of her feathers are dyed pink
Also if they are fairly new feathers then the base will still have blood in it (blood feathers) so they will look pink titned. Plus when wet some feathers can look pinkish as well.
