Sweet Story (of wild caught)
Well, i am leaving for CA on Thur and have to say goodbye to my beloved Gabriel Foundation. I went down today for a goodbye visit, and had a very touching incident. A month ago I noticed a male molluccan cockatoo with no toys (he is an avid chewer), so I gave him some that I brought down that day. I went back two weeks later and gave him a bath and more toys. I was told he was wild caught and didn't get along with anyone - human or avian, and tried to bite anyone that came near. Today I went in to say goodbye. He put his little head down and let me give him scritches. He then started making cooing sounds and little clucks. Guess who just inherited a long-distance sponsor mommy...
