is it possible?/

first off i wanna say hi and thank you for any help i may get. i work in a pet store and recently we got in a young ( about 7 or 8 month old) african grey. i had owned an abused timinah years ago and it took me about a year or so just to get him to bond w/ me. anyway tthis new grey came in and it seems like we bonded immediatly. he trusts me totally... ie. comes right out of the cage and steps up to my hand , sits on my shoulder and "grooms" me picks at my teeth, kisses etc. is it possible this is an actual bonding or am i just hoping and imagining it because i really want to buy him and give him a good home. either way i want him. i was just wondering if bonding can happen in 2 weeks?

I'm still new to the whole bigger world of parrots... but honestly.... I felt I bonded with my "Peek'a" baby cockatiel... well not baby... but very young within a couple of days, and he was hand raised... and within the first week or so... he's just like a baby calling to a mommy with me. I love him soo much.

I think from what I'v read and learned here especialy if it happens to be a hand raised grey that would be why it was so asy to bond with him! its such a great feeling isnt it!

I'm guessing you're a very caring and prominant figure in his life- which would make him view you as a prime bonding candidate! if you're the one who feeds him, I can DEFINATLEY say he has bonded with you!!! LOOOL. If he's such a great birdy already, and you've had experience, and you're up for the adventures and misadventures in store for a new grey owner, I'd say to buy him! He sounds like he'd be a great fid!
