I have a question?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello all!
I have a question for you. I went this last week to a pet store and as always when I go there I stop by to see the male eclectus that has been there almost a year. I know. I always find it very sad when I go to these places. I have been wanting to take him home since the moment I saw him but right now we just can't. We are in the process of moving and we need to get settled before we bring another bird in our home. I hate it but I do not want to stress him out with all the ruckus that will be going on. But back to my story... I went to see him and he was no longer "healthy looking." His beak is entirely way too long and his feathers looked dingy or something. They also had him standing around all these other birds. A military macaw, a blue and gold macaw, a couple of conures, etc. There were no toys or anything. Maybe I'm oversensitive? I don't know. I just feel like I should say something. Something. What do you think?

well first off check lots of pics about Eclectus beaks. They are naturally "over" long looking. Also he could be moulting. He does need some toys...maybe you could put a deposit on him? lol(you know you want to)lol. Then you can get him some toys and take them to him. Then you can make payments while your moving? Poor guy.

I may ruffel a few feathers with this but if you get him out of there it will make room for them to screw up another bird. I know it sounds cruel too me when I say it. The problem is these guys don't care. The only thing They will see is they sold a big dollar bird.
