Proud new grandma
On Feb 14th our Tiels laid their last egg and dad (Bambi) has been such a good dad. Only coming out 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening.
This morning we noticed we have one baby so far. (4 eggs) I hope they all hatch. |

Update on baby. Only one!!! The other 3 eggs had to be taken out after the one baby was 3 days old. I candled the other 3 and they had dark spots on one side of the egg so I knew they weren't any good. But thankfully, we have the one. Since it is mom and dad's first baby, maybe it's a blessing there was just one. Dad, Bambi, is a common gray about 10 years old, mom seems to be a common but has a brownish face (have no idea what she is) but the baby is covered with soft yellow down..........and sooooo tiny!!!
Since this is our first baby, is it likely that the yellow will turn to gray as it gets older?? |
