Ours lick on us too, and as for the "throwing up" it sounds like normal regurgitation! Which is a sign of love, whether we think so or not LOL! Kianna very seldon brings food up but tries alot, a few others bring up gobs, thankfully they eat it though! Earl brings food up and then doesn't seem to know what to do with it so drops it to the floor LOL!
You will know the difference between regurg and actually throwing up, one is very controlled with head bobbing and banging thier beak on you the other is uncontrolled and goes everywhere!

I think it is a sign of love!!!!
My Sennie regurgitatesfood for me, and since I will not let him put it in my mouth, he tries to stuff it down my ear!!!!!!!!!! I think parrots also feel things with their tongues.I think.

bah, I meant regurgitate- I guess it's not exactly the same thing as throwing up... she's only had a little pellet come up once before lol! but I'm glad I'm not alone in this:) She just gets a little outta control with the tongue- it rules the house now!

I had a budgie pair who were deeply in love and would regurgatate for each other and feed it to each other all the time! He's just showing his love for you in the biggest possible way- regurgatation. Mmmmm... How humbling. He probably regurgatates on your fingers because he thinks they act like a beak-(they grab food, scritch, pick things up- like a bird does with mostly its beak) and they regurgitate into the beak of the loved one! hahaha I hope that makes sense!
