I have an Australian Rock Pebbler that is a plucker and found that rubbing vitamin E oil on him helps.

I have Barney on a whole new regimen, this is the most feathers he has ever had. I don't think he would remotely let me rub vitamin e on him, he runs away and attacks the mister that I use, he is not one with bathing, unless he chooses to bathe in his water bowl!!! The cherry head is plucked too, but she is already getting feathers on her chest. They came to me little sexy chickens as I call them, I'm trying to make it right, but they may always be pluckers and that is fine by me!!!

Wow T.W.! You have a good collection of conures!

They are very very beautiful!

I had a Nandayus years ago. She was captured, but she was very very sweet!

Congratulations for your parrot family, Elvis is very very beautiful!

Thank you!!! the pair of Nandays in the picture are quite the little dragons!!!! Heckle will fly across the room to get us!!!!! They are getting much better though, but they will probably always try to eat us!!LOL
I actually have another pair, they are quiet and one is hand tame, the other is okay with me going in the cage and such, but doesn't want to cuddle.
Elvis is our first big parrot, we adopted him when he was 15, he had a pretty crummy life up until then, he is 20 now, as he is in the picture, is how he is always quiet and stoic (sp?) He likes to just watch everything, and Lucy the Cherry head is usually on his cage with him hanging out!!! He loves her, heck he loves all animals, but he likes birds smaller than himself!!!! He is the king after all!!!!

You bet that's a lizzard!!!! LOL It wouldn't be florida without the little Anoles running around. It is outside the window. You can't take a few steps here without having them run in front of you, I've had them fall on my head when I opened the front door!! I was wondering if anybody would notice their little window friend!!!! Very observant of you!!!

Thanks!! I wish we had small lizards up here, but it's WAAAY too cold in the winter. I couldn't imagine the feeling of a lizard dropping on my head!! I'll trade you the big summertime wolf spiders for a cute little anole any day!
