Very Important. Please Read

Can you do me a favor? Can you warn people on Julies and ********** about the following:

I had an incident with the new heaters we bought from QVC they are made by Bionaire and oscillate. They have a thermostat. Unfortunately, I woke up this morning to the smell of burning plastic and the grill on it was actually melted. Thank God I didn't have it on while I'm at work. I snatched Bart out of her cage so fast her head was whirling--she was absolutely shocked. I turned on the air cleaner full blast and turned on the ceiling fan (after I had put her in her cage). Her and Willy are the only ones in there at this point. The others are in another room. They seem to be fine. I made sure they were eating etc before I left for work and had Richard check on them and call me too (he leaves about 2 hrs after me).

I'm so PO'd and upset! I just checked their web site and I'll bet you money that they had tons of other complaints, they don't offer the item any more!! I called their customer service and they immediately switched me to a supervisor and said someone from Corporate will get back in touch with me.

This is the item:

Bionaire 1500W Smart Touch Power Heater with Remote Control

.
Can you warn everyone about it? I don't want anyone to have as bad or WORSE experience
THIS IS FOR REAL AND HAPPENED TO MARY ON MY GROUP THIS MORNING.

thanks for the warning, my sister and i were just discussing this heater yesterday, she is getting herself a bird and wanted to make sure the bird would be warm enough this winter and thought this would be a good heater because you could set the thermostat. i will tell her of your very scary ordeal. i am pleased to know that no one was harmed. jean :aiwebs_00

I know what you mean. About 12 yrs ago we bought a JennAir range and the oven had plastic parts on it!!!! An oven!!! It was a self-cleaning oven too. Now who in their right mind puts plastic parts in an oven that gets to 900 deg.????? Needless to say I made them take it back and give us one that had NO plastic parts. Sheesh. I did not have birds then, and do not use stoves with self cleaning on them now.
