Gir's New Cage! Plus new pics >.<

!!! I found an ad on Craigslist, this couple was selling 3 of their cages- and I bought one for $65!!! Well, his old cage wasn't much smaller, it was about 2 inches shorter all the way around- I can't wait to get him a larger cage, but I couldn't pass up this chance!

When I got there, they had their own little aviary they had built themselves with a tons of zebra finches that also had about 30-40 some odd eggs, little babies in the nests... and then a pair of Ringnecks that also had babies on the way:) They were so sweet and friendly, gave some good hints as to finding rescues that adopt out too;) We'll see if we come home with another little dude!

So... Gir's officially happy in his new home. His younger, yet big, sister is a bit jealous- but shhhhh! She next, she doesn't know it yet;)

please be careful with those open top cages. I have one (looks like it might be the same cage) and I never open the top. It looks like an accident waiting to happen to me. I have heard of birds playing with the top or toys hooked to the top and getting trapped or injured when the lid accidentally closes. I put toys on top of the cage on let them play on it with the top permanently closed. Your birdies are beautiful I would hate to see any get hurt.

I have seen people put a perch cut to length so the cage top cannot accidently close.
