Sorry 'bout that.

I think that rehomes/rescues are so rewarding.

But, to each his own.

Good luck w/finding the right bird.

A couple of pics I just took tonight, first Pollywog my re homed Grey four years old flossing her beak. Second is Shasmecka she is a a nine year old rescue enjoying a Scritch. They both love me to death. I don't think a hand fed baby could be much more affectionate but I have not had the option to find out yet.
Good luck in your search.

Of course I would recommend all the species I have, they were chosen because they are awesome, friendly species. Unfortunately, Quakers are illegal in California. My Nanday is VERY cuddly and always wants to be with me and she goes readily to my husband and even the AV! I wouldn't leave a Nanday home alone all day if you work outside though, they will squawk. You should be OK if you are still working from home. If you get two Conures of different species that can't interbreed or of the same sex and let them grow up together, that would cut down on the squawking.

Keev...there are a lot of rescues out there who need homes! Especially here in Cali.

denmor55- Pollywog is adorable!

I agree! Nandays are the sweetest birds, great companions! Good luck with your choice! You can't go wrong with any of those!

hehe.. I'm chuckling to myself. i did the same thing - had my picks narrowed down to 2 or 3: maxi pionus, eclectus, goffins. My boyfriend even asked one day 'well what about a mini macaw?" I said no, wasn't interested. So i went to the bird show to find myself a maxi pi, or one of my other two picks. What do I have today? Three mini macaws... Little stinkers picked me before I could find what I wanted!!!

Have you gotten any closer to making a decision?
